The National Natural Science Foundation of China organized an expert team to evaluate the national major project of scientific research instrument and equipment development, named ‘Development of a neutron spectrometer for nondestructive detection of deep stress fields and defects within materials and components’ on Sept.18th. The project acceptance expert team agreed to the final acceptance of the project, and evaluated this project as grade A.

The national major project of scientific research instrument and equipment development originates from scientific frontiers and national needs and is guided by its scientific goals. It encourages and trains the exploratory of scientific research instrument development with creative ideas and strives to support the development of major scientific research instruments and equipment with creatives, which aims to provide more innovative methods and tools for scientific research to comprehensively enhance the innovation capabilities of our country.
